Textile-artist HRL uses weaving as a physical means to explore

ideas of space and time. Her textiles become subconscious

reflections of specific moments, due in part to the slow

meticulous nature of weaving. Living in the world, as it is today,

often means detaching from ones surrounding, and feeling

overwhelmed by information. To counteract this, HRL strives to

make work that reveals detail upon careful inspection, inviting

herself and others to be present.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Hannah Ruth Levi

received her Bachelor's degree from the University of

Washington in 2011.
